The dark tale of Jester's Crown

 Jester's Crown was created in 2006 out of the ashes of the Danish metal act Delirium Tremens. The intentions was to create heavy metal music, that in one way paid homage to the old heavy metal legends but still had a unique Jester's Crown touch. It had to be heavy, melodic and catchy just like heavy metal was meant to be. Lyrically the songs deals with dark themes like witch hunts, the occult, ghost stories and everything dark and sinister.

 In the fall of 2006 the band went into the studio to record two songs for a promo cd. The cd was released in 2007 simply as "Promo 2007" and consisted of 4 songs. The cd contained the two new recordings and an earlier recording of two other songs. It was released with a bonus dvd featuring a private live recording from summer 2006. Both recordings had different line up due to the difficulties of finding dedicated musicians. The purpose of the promo cd was mainly to promote Jester’s Crown to various gig organizers, zines and labels.

 During 2007 the line up was completed the band now consisted of Dennis Jacobsen/Vocal, Stephan Larsen/Guitars, Michael Kafton/Guitars, Andrias Andreasen/Bass and Sonny Jörgensen/Drums.

 In early 2008 the band recorded a second promo which was released later in 2008 as "Promo 2008". The promo features three new songs that represent the future path of Jester's Crown.

 Since the beginning Jester's Crown has played several gigs in Denmark , which almost every time has been well received from the audience. On stage it is important that the band’s performance fits the music. Therefore skulls, smoke, studs and leather is an important part of the Jester's Crown stage show.

 In late 2008 Dennis and Michael decided to leave the band. Jester’s Crown decided to keep the work as a three piece and Stephan took over the vocals. This three piece line up presents Jester’s Crown in the rawest, dirtiest and meanest form. This is uncompromising doomy heavy metal that has the haunted Jack Daniels, leather and skulls feeling.

Jester’s Crown is now looking for labels interested in releasing a debut full length lp.

 More gigs in Denmark has been planned for 2009.
